Types of Mesothelioma

There are three named types of mesothelioma and they are as outlined below.

Pleural mesothelioma

This is the most frequently diagnosed type of this disease and effects the lungs and breathing.

Peritoneal mesothelioma

This is less frequent and is typically found in the stomach, abdomen and bowels.

Pericardial mesothelioma

This is much less frequently found and affects the heart.
